I have more than 10 years of experience as a clinician and I am passionate about working with families in the pregnancy and postpartum periods as well as working with young children. Currently I work for Georgetown University's Department of Psychiatry and I have a private practice. I am a member of the Perinatal Mental Health Society, Greater Washington Society for Clinical Social Workers, DMV Women's Mental Health Consortium, and DCTherapistConnect. I received my Bachelor of Arts from McGill University and a dual Masters of Science in Social Work from Columbia University and a Masters of Arts. I have training in a number of different treatment modalities including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and the DIR/Floortime model of play therapy. Having lived in many different states and countries, I am committed to providing culturally sensitive services. As a mom of two spirited and energetic children, I recognize that pregnancy and parenting can look very different from what we may have expected. I also understand the difficulties in delicately balancing family, personal, and professional life.
